Sava renamed Goodyear Dunlop Sava Tires

The plant Sava in Kranj, Slovenia
From tomorrow, 1 July, the Slovenian Sava Tires Goodyear Dunlop will change name in Sava Tires. The announcement was made by the company itself at a press conference held on June 28. The decision to change the company name has been taken to align the name of the establishment of the Sava with the other group companies Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe and, by this choice, we would expect a higher visibility and a strengthening of the company on the Slovenian market.

Thierry Villard, CEO of Goodyear Dunlop Sava Tires said that the new name describes the essence of the factory, as many brands owned by Goodyear, including Goodyear, Dunlop, Sava, Fulda, Debica, and are produced in the factory in Kranj, with an increasing share for Goodyear and Dunlop brands.

In the same press conference, Chief Financial Officer Stephane Hoarau also announced financial results for 2010: sales, with 373.8 million euros the previous year showed an increase of 25% and profits have grown by over 28% with 14 , 3 million. In the year ended, the company has produced 7.12 million tires, of which 77% were allocated to the EU market.
